Director-Level Opportunity in Building Envelope Construction

Atlantic Restoration and Contracting is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Director. This is a key leadership role within our growing building envelope construction firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building envelope design, masonry, waterproofing, and concrete construction, coupled with the ability to lead and inspire a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workplace tools, and construction management software is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support the company through all aspects of business development as needed.
  • Review of assigned project with estimator. Familiarization of plans, specifications, and details of project.
  • Manages the assistant project manager.
  • Manage and control pre-job interviews with clients, Initial review of contract(s), schedule of values & budgetary allowances.
  • Responsible for assisting project buy-out and meeting financial budgets.
  • Generate submittal packages and insurance certifications for approval.
  • Schedule and participate in pre-construction meetings.
  • Schedule and attend weekly on and off-site meetings with the owner and or designer.
  • Coordinate work schedule with clients and subcontractors and inform project staff of all changes in the schedule.
  • Manage job site records, daily reports, delay requests and weather reports as required.
  • Monitor job progress and control costs.
  • Resolve problems and issues that may arise – includes both technical and contractual.
  • Provide support to operations as required for materials, schedule, and cost information.
  • Prepare estimates & documentation for minor change orders. Provide information/support to estimators for major change orders.
  • Maintain a change order status log. Keep Accounts Receivables informed of all pending and approved change orders.
  • Submit monthly requisitions based on contract requirements.
  • Attend weekly team meetings; and schedule additional meetings internally as required to keep all jobs on track.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Operations Manager, Assistant Project Managers, clients and subcontractors.
  • Enforce safety policies and correct application/installation procedures on jobsites.
  • Maintain a record of all project documents, correspondence and financials in our construction software program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in building envelope construction or a related field.

  • Proven experience in managing and building successful construction teams.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.

  • Must hold a current Florida CGC license.

  • Bi-ligual

  • Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record

  • Must have reliable transportation to start working. A truck may be provided after the 3 month onboarding process.
