Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFull Job Description Premier Collision Center is looking for a disassembly/reassembly technician to join our team that has a minimum of 2 years of experience. The Disassembly & Reassembly Technician is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, and assessing vehicles for additional or hidden damage. Once the vehicle is ready, the technician will reassemble the vehicle.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow the company blueprinting process and disassembly procedures for all vehicle inspectionsDisassemble vehicles after the initial estimate, inspect all vehicles for internal structure and parts from the initial inspection (estimate), and identify additional damageComplete disassembly of the vehicle to assist estimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% repair planDocument and record additional damage and required parts on a damage report (including blend panels, small parts, on-time use fasteners, moldings, etc.).Notify the production manager/estimator regarding supplements based on additional damage/parts discoveredAssist the metal technician with reassembly upon completion of the repair, as neededPerform light non-structural repairs – light finishing, sanding, minor bumper repairs, etc.Reassemble vehicle – replace final moldings, trim, and detail piecesPerform assigned duties safely and responsibly that does not expose yourself or other employees to unnecessary risk of injuryOther duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: At least 2 years of auto body repair experienceMust be at least 18 years of ageHS Diploma or GED, Auto Body Vo-Tech certification strongly preferredAbility to effectively communicate with othersAbility to read and understand basic instructions, written estimates, and work ordersMulti-tasking; adapt easily to fast-paced environments
