Work Location:  2415 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303 or at the specified location.

Note: The Department may select one or more candidates in this position. Candidates available immediately are preferred. The number of weeks is dependent upon available budget.

Primary Job Duties and Tasks

·         Collaborate with teams to plan, forecast, and identify resource requirements for network systems, including wireless networks, of moderate complexity.

·         Participate in the development and design of network architecture and engineering solutions.

·         Integrate communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, and signaling protocols into complete network configurations.

·         Evaluate, deploy, and maintain network systems, including Palo Alto, Cisco, and VOIP solutions.

·         Implement cloud networking configurations and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

·         Monitor protocol compatibility, tune systems for optimal performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.

·         Develop and document technical standards, best practices, and interface applications for network operations.

·         Prepare and maintain schematics and documentation for network configurations and system changes.

·         Ensure compliance with organizational policies and technical standards.

·         Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.

·         Provide support for network outages, including troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software issues.

·         Monitor network performance metrics and identify potential issues before they impact operations.

·         Perform system tuning to enhance network efficiency and scalability.

·         Work with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems and applications into the network.

·         Manage and maintain cloud networking environments, ensuring secure and efficient access to cloud services.

·         Leverage advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.

·         Implement and manage VOIP systems, ensuring seamless voice communication across the network.

·         Integrate security measures, including firewalls and authentication protocols, into the network infrastructure.

·         Ensure network operations meet compliance requirements and industry standards.

·         Identify, track, and resolve potential risks and vulnerabilities within the network environment.

·         Utilize in-depth knowledge of Palo Alto, Cisco, and cloud networking tools to deliver robust solutions.

·         Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and certifications to maintain technical proficiency.
