Machinist

Looking for a self -starting machinist eager to learn, who has great attention to detail, and cares about the parts they make. 

 

Equipment Proficiencies

  • Power tools- drills, saws, grinders, buffing wheels, bead blast, tumblers, air compressors. 
  • Basic windows applications- word, excel, file explorer/ organization. 
  • CNC Lathe and Mill experience, 4th axis preferred not required. 
  •  Understand basic G Code with the ability to make small adjustments when necessary. 
  • Understand haas Classic/NGC controls, probing and tool compensations. 
  • Metrology experience- calipers, dial bore gauges, dial test indicators, go/no go gauges. 
  • Programming experience in Fusion and Mastercam preferred, not required. 

 

Duties

  • Analyzing specification charts, samples and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements
  • Developing a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications
  • Measuring and marking raw materials needed to manufacture parts
  • Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan
  • Operating equipment to carry out each step correctly
  • Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise
  • Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects
  • Creating inspection records for parts. 
  • Maintaining equipment located throughout the machine shop
  • Programming experience preferred, not required.
