Position Overview:
As a Dental Hygienist at Diamond Dental, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for delivering high-quality dental hygiene services and educating our patients on effective oral care practices. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a strong background in dental hygiene, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and patients of all ages
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth
- Provide dental prophylaxis and periodontal treatments
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and document findings
- Perform oral cancer screenings
- Take digital X-rays
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations
- Assist in developing patient treatment plans and preventive care strategies
- Screen for other specific patient needs and provide appropriate recommendations or referrals
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records through an electronic dental record system
- Follow infection control protocols and ensure a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate effectively with the dentist and other team members to deliver outstanding patient care
- Effectively manage time and work with the team to complete all assigned tasks within a seat deadline
- Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent
- Valid state license and certification as a Dental Hygienist
- CPR certification is to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred, though recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and protocols
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
