The pay for this role is $16.28/hour

Job Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring dishes and other cookware are clean and sanitary for kitchen use. This role performs necessary prep work for edibles to be produced. Supports and adheres to Grow Op Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of this job. 
 
  1. Prepares the kitchen for the tasks outlined on the whiteboard.
  2. Checks stovetops, tables, depositors and sinks for cleanliness.
  3. Wears necessary cleaning attire (slip proof shoes, apron, gloves)
  4. Understands the importance of which cleaners are used for each piece of equipment or surface that needs to be cleaned.
  5. Cleans dishes and ensures a clean and organized work area
  6. Measures sugars and flavors to be made into edibles
  7. Consistently cycles out the kettles and molds to keep production moving
  8. Receives work assignment direct or indirect; primarily verbal communication from supervisor and management
  9. Keeps inventory of necessary cleaning supplies (soap, sanitizer, scrubbing pads) and reports needed items to a lead or supervisor
  10. Performs all other duties/responsibilities as necessary or assigned
Job Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.  These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job. 
 
  • Must be 21 years old or older

Education/Experience:  to perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
  • a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Convection kitchen experience is helpful but not necessary
  • Current Washington Food Handlers card

Physical Abilities:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
  • Regularly sit or stand for long periods of time doing repetitive tasks with hands, pull/push, carry up to 25  pounds, and grasp.
  • Frequently walk, reach, and taste, or smell. 
  • Occasionally climb, stoop/crouch, crawl, carry up to 30  pounds, talk, or hear.
  • Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors (no color blindness)
