Restaurant Line Cook

The Mod seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our menu and recipes. Your expertise in food handling, meal preparation, and culinary techniques will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen. Experience preferred but willing to train people who are motivated to learn and grow with us.  

Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Cook food items according to recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety guidelines
- Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing recipes
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager
- Adhere to proper food handling and sanitation procedures at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Proficient knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
