We are seeking a Network and Industrial Security Analyst I to join our team You will implement security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.

Responsibilities:

  • Support, configure, maintain, and upgrade company networks, servers, and services
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with network security and connectivity requirements
  • Ensuring all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals
  • Ensuring audit records are collected and analyzed in accordance with the security plan
  • Coordinating and documenting changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system with Information Technology (IT) and/or Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) prior to the change
  • Notifying the ISSM when changes occur that might affect system authorization
  • Conducting continuous monitoring of environments to ensure compliance with security authorization packages
  • Obtain and maintain DoD 8570 baseline certification
  • Ensuring systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization package
  • Ensuring audit records on multiple information system platforms are collected and analyzed in accordance with the approved security plan and discrepancies reported
  • Attending technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management) related to assigned compliance duties
  • Ensuring all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization and need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities prior to granting access to systems
  • Reporting all security-related incidents to the ISSM and/or Facility Security Officer (FSO)
  • Monitoring system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly

 

​Job Requirements:

  • DoD 8570 baseline certification (Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC, CASP CE, CISA, CISM, or CISSP)
  • Experience working with information system security principles and practices
  • Government compliance, regulations, and standards (NISPOM, DAAPM, RMF, JSIG, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, DISA STIGS) with special emphasis on risk management framework (RMF) experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux system administration (2+ years)
  • Standard Practices and Procedures (SPP, Operational Security (OPSEC), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and Risk Analysis Investigations specific to the facility.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Systems Analysis - Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
  • Systems Evaluation - Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer related field strongly preferred.
  • Three years of experience in a similar systems security role or experience in related IT or systems security disciplines is highly preferred.
