Job Title: CNC Programmer

Location: Seattle, WA, US

Duration: 11 Months (possible for conversion)

Daily Schedule: M-F

Overtime Estimate: 10 hours per week allocated

Job Description:

The CNC Programmer role requires a comprehensive understanding of CNC machining and programming operations. You will work closely with machinists, leads, engineering teams, and management to increase productivity and optimize machining programs and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Use NX or MasterCam CAD/CAM/CAE programs to program CNC parts.
  • Verify NC files and maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets.
  • Possess knowledge of carbide tools and adjust speed and feed parameters for optimal tool life.
  • Suggest drawing changes to improve manufacturability.
  • Set up and operate machine fixtures and tooling as directed by process sheets.
  • Meet expectations for productivity and production goals.
  • Keep products moving and alert management of production delays.
  • Continuously provide ideas for process improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 8+ years of CNC programming experience (including NX)
  • Experience with graphite electrode programming

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 12+ years of CNC programming experience (including NX)
  • Experience with programming and operating multi-axis mill and lathe CNC machines
  • Experience with tool and die applications involving complex surfacing and contours

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Perform various physical tasks including lifting, standing, climbing, bending, etc.
  • Ability to work 1st shift, overtime, and weekends as needed (estimated shift: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm)
