Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiology and demonstrate exceptional clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management. This role involves working closely with patients to provide comprehensive care, including performing physical examinations, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical history.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Manage patient follow-ups, including discharge planning and post-discharge care instructions.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding cardiovascular health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks.
  • Stay updated on advancements in cardiology practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification in cardiology preferred.
  • Experience in nursing home or hospital medicine settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, ICU practices, ICD-9 coding.
  • Proficiency in performing physical examinations and understanding discharge planning processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
