A well-established steel company is looking to hire a Machinist in the Lakeland, FL area. As a Machinist, you will be trained on how to operate machinery in the fabrication shop If you have a great attitude, strong work ethic, and are coachable, we want to hear from you This is a great opportunity to learn a new trade

What You’ll Be Doing

• Receive and inspect raw materials to ensure quality standards are met
• Prepare materials for fitting and welding by cutting, shaping, or assembling components as required
• Work closely with welders and fitters to ensure seamless production flow and adherence to project specifications
• Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently in the processing area
• Conduct regular checks to ensure that all materials meet safety and quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of materials received and processed, reporting any discrepancies to supervisors
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Who We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or steel processing environment
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50lbs
• Positive attitude and energetic
• Previous machine fabrication shop experience preferred, but not required

What You Can Expect

• $18.00 – $20.00/hour, based on experience
• Regular schedule of Monday – Friday, 4:30pm – 2:30am
• Training schedule Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm
