Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in the Financial Services industry, situated in McAllen, Texas, 78504, United States, extending an opportunity for a Vulnerability Analyst. This role involves managing information security, hardening systems, and conducting organization-wide vulnerability scanning and remediation processes. You will be working in a dynamic environment, showcasing your skills in vulnerability management and security operations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer information security systems, ensuring data protection and integrity.
• Utilize vulnerability management solutions such as Qualys, Nexpose, Nessus, Kenna Security, Tanium, and open-source tools.
• Focus on system hardening to run minimal application requirements with least privilege.
• Operate with a clear understanding of Windows and *nix operating systems, endpoint applications, networking protocols, and devices.
• Gain experience in cloud vulnerability management across platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts across the organization.
• Collaborate with technical team and business to reduce attack surface.
• Maintain knowledge of compliance standards including PCI, HIPAA, GLBA, NIST, or ISO.
• Showcase scripting abilities in Python, Bash, Perl, or PowerShell.
• Comprehend OWASP, CVSS, the MITRE ATT& CK framework, and the software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills in relaying business risk and remediation requirements.
• Apply an analytical and problem-solving mindset to daily tasks.
• Exhibit high organization and efficiency in managing tasks and responsibilities.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are favored.

• Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services sector.

• Proficiency in Checkpoint is a must-have skill for this role.

• The candidate should have a deep understanding of Cisco ASA.

• Demonstrable knowledge of Cisco Technologies is a key requirement.

• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies is essential.

• Expertise in Firewall Technologies is a significant plus.

• Experience with AB Testing is desirable.

• Auditing skills are highly valued for this position.

• Proficiency in AWS Technologies will be a distinct advantage.

• The role demands a strong background in Configuration Management.

• A solid understanding of Cyber Security is a crucial requirement for this job.
