The DME Coordinator assists Provider(s) during clinic in assigned location. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities. Responsible for dispensing all durable medical equipment. Performs a variety of patient care activities to include the proper fitting and instruction of soft goods, bracing, electro therapy, bone growth stimulation, traction and all other DME products dispensed by the clinics. Responsible for a variety of administrative tasks to include maintaining inventory, completing of pre-authorization for insurance, and completion of appropriate documentation for billing. Patient Population Served: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric

Requirements:

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Orthopedic technology, Athletic Trainers or Certified Ortho Tech program or equivalent experience
  • Four to seven years' experience in a hospital, clinic or medial office working directly with orthopedic patients
  • Experience dispensing, fitting, and billing for DME
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records system
  • Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
  • Travel to Peachtree City
