We are now looking to hire an Assistant Property Manager for our River Mews Apartments and Townhomes in Newport News, VA which includes 645 units A Palms' Assistant Manager plays a critical role in the property's success and can be a steppingstone to a Property Manager opportunity.

The Assistant Manager's top priorities are to:

  • Assist the property manager in the critical areas of leasing, collections, resident services, revenue growth, and compliance with legal and company policy
  • Contribute to revenue growth by brainstorming ways to set community apart
  • Execute marketing activities using social media and creative community promotions
  • Lead by example to prioritize the highest customer service to promote resident retention
  • Set resident expectations early regarding prompt payment of all balances owed
  • Commit to minimize delinquent rent
  • Participate in company-wide training programs to stay compliant with real estate law and develop professional skills
  • Collaborate with maintenance team to help achieve property-wide goals

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize work effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Successful track record of assisting in the collection of delinquent rent
  • Focus on providing outstanding customer service to our new and current residents
  • Property management designation such as CAM, CAPS, NALP preferred.
  • YARDI and LRO experience a plus
  • Bilingual a plus
