Mexico Joe's is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations If you have a passion for great food, strong leadership skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team.
As Kitchen Manager, you'll oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring top-quality food preparation, maintaining health and safety standards, managing facilities, and leading a high-performing team. You'll be hands-on in both management and kitchen shifts, setting the standard for excellence and teamwork.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:- Lead, develop, and inspire the kitchen team.
- Manage hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee onboarding and training for new kitchen staff.
- Monitor and maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Control labor and food costs while managing inventory and supply orders.
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations and food safety standards.
- Maintain and coordinate kitchen equipment repairs.
- Implement and uphold cleaning schedules and sanitation protocols.
- Assist in managing BOHA, our back-of-house software system.
- Develop and execute creative food features.
- Participate in management meetings and contribute to company goals.
- Work a mix of scheduled lunch and dinner line shifts.
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment.
- 3+ years of professional line cook experience.
- 1+ years in a kitchen management or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and health codes.
- Exceptional leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to control costs and optimize kitchen operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible availability.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must possess ServSafe certification within 6 months of obtaining the position.
- Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
