Employee Care Coordinator (HR)

Location: Glastonbury, CT

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

As a key member of our HR team, the Employee Care Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting various human resources functions, both corporately and across our project sites nationwide. This position requires a highly motivated professional with exceptional judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to seamlessly transition between tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is an adaptable, team-oriented individual with a strong foundational understanding of employment laws and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, ensuring fair & consistent application of company policies and employment laws.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters with integrity & discretion.
  • Collaborate with HR team members across all HR functions & disciplines.
  • Manage multiple HR initiatives simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Manage leave of absence (LOA) administration.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations and labor laws; manage the generation of compliance briefings as necessary and advise on impact.
  • Support benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HR system maintenance.
  • Assist in the development & implementation of HR policies & programs to enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Analyze and present HR-specific data to support decision-making and organizational strategies.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of proven experience in an HR profession.
  • Experience working in HR within the construction industry is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) is preferred but not required; must possess experience utilizing similar HRIS systems.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Exceptional discretion, integrity, and trustworthiness in handling confidential information.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for supporting and taking care of people.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Nimble, flexible, and capable of quickly adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Aptitude for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical analysis.
