Dean's Professional Services is now hiring for a qualified, patient-care-focused Certified Medical Assistant to work in Sugar Land, TX area for a large Healthcare Organization.

The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing patient support and communication and facilitating an exceptional patient experience to build and reinforce satisfaction, and trust, and drive organizational loyalty.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs laboratory tests, EKGs, suture/staple removals, and dressing changes among other patient care procedures.
  • Collect and chart vitals, patient history, and other screenings.
  • Authorize prescription refills.
  • Instruct patients regarding medications and diet.
  • Collect co-payments, and reconcile charges and balances.
  • Communicate unexpected wait times to patients.
  • Scheduling patient appointments and follow-ups.
  • Perform insurance verifications
  • Inform patients of privacy policies.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 year's Medical Assisting experience working in primary care.
  • Athena experience STRONGLY Preferred
  • Certified or Registered MA - Required

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Starting at $20/hr. (Based on experience) + Benefits
  • Temp-to-Hire Position
