Summary
ARBC Weekday Preschool is now hiring a full-time teacher assistant to work Monday-Friday in our Toddler classroom. Teacher assistant will work with two other teachers to engage children, maintain a loving and safe classroom, and follow all DSS licensing requirements. We are looking for hard-working, energetic, passionate, and flexible candidates Do you love children and helping them learn and grow through play? Together, let's shape the future for our children Please submit a resume with references and previous work with young children including the SC licensed center(s) where you previously worked for six months.
Hours are 8:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Duties
- Follow all DSS licensing requirements
- Feeding, diapering, interacting with children, playing on the floor
- Implement lesson plans from lead teacher
- Communicating with parents throughout the day
- Cleaning throughout the day
- Closing duties to include cleaning once children leave at 5:30
- Relate in a positive manner with children, parents, and coworkers
- 6 months work experience in a SC licensed childcare center
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 18 years old
- Must be able to pass DSS background check fingerprint scan
- Pass health assessment and TB test
- Complete 15 hours of training throughout the year (provided on site and paid for)
- Must have a flexible, helpful and patient nature
- ECD 101 certification
- Experience in toddler class
- PTO after 6 months of work
