Summary: The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring building services meet workers' needs. Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or janitorial problems. Responsible for creating a suitable working environment, ensuring facilities are always clean. Must be multi-skilled individual who can balance technical maintenance while fostering internal and external customer relationships. Additional responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data to adjust current processes and assisting with the execution of company initiatives that are facility related.
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Titles Supervised: Members within Facilities and Housekeeping
Essential Responsibilities:
- Foster a professional, positive and safe working environment.
- Maintain the overall operation and clean appearance of the facility.
- Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly.
- Schedule and supervise maintenance and repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building requirements.
- 24-7 On-call for response to equipment breakdowns or other urgent facility disruptions.
- Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, and ensure that employees are trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively.
- Maintain stock levels of essential parts within budget.
- Maintain communication with contractors, team members, and customers (internal and external).
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
- Assist company management in space allocation throughout the facility.
- Assist with any needs from other departments to any extent possible. [Examples including but not limited to utility needs, human capital resources, large equipment installation or relocation and coordinating installation of the like.]
- Perform analysis and forecasting for all things facilities related.
- Evaluate all preventative maintenance needs and development maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Oversee completion of preventive maintenance program and weekly/monthly inspections.
- Work collaboratively with Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement teams on projects and maintenance schedules related to production needs and equipment.
- Coordinating all ground maintenance including lawn & gardens maintenance, snow & ice removal as well as external building cleaning & upkeep.
- Maintain department staffing, duties related include:
a) Ensuring adequate staffing and training to meet department needs.
b) Communicating regularly with staff and conducting team meetings to express expectations along with member 1:1's for enhanced feedback and relationship building.
c) Assess team member performance and conduct annual evaluations for member growth and development.
d) Responsible for administering department member progressive discipline or performance improvement plans as necessary. - Expected to develop and adhere to the department budget.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and assist with energy management.
- You will be expected to operate according to ISO 9001 requirements.
- Held responsible and accountable to follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and use good safety judgment. Expected to report all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Facilities Management, or equivalent professional level experience.
Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Facilities Management.
Licensure/Certification: Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFM) will be an advantage.
Experience/Skills/Abilities: 1-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions. Knowledge of OSHA and other relevant environmental regulations. Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter. Strong procurement and negotiation skills.
Work Schedule/Hours: M-F availability during business hours, and on call 24/7 for emergency needs.

Working Conditions: Office provided but duties may encounter all conditions of work throughout the facility.
