As a Systems Engineer you will be part of a team that support the infrastructure for our clients ensuring efficient deployment and management. The Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring stability, security and efficiency of the network infrastructure through effective management.

Responsibilities:
  • Server Infrastructure Management
    • Provision, configure and maintain client servers.
    • Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and drivers.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on client servers.
  • Network Infrastructure Management:
    • Provision, configure, and maintain client network devices.
    • Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and drivers.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on client network devices.
  • Backup Management:
    • Provision, configure, and maintain client backups.
    • Install, configure, update and test backup systems.
    • Troubleshot hardware and software issues related to backup services.
  • User Support:
    • Provide technical support to end users for network, server and backup issues.
    • Collaborate with helpdesk and support teams to resolve escalated issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain documentation for server, network and backup infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
    • Generate reports on deployment, compliance, and security metrics.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment of server, network and backup strategies with organizational goals.
    • Communicate effectively with end users to gather requirements and provide assistance.
Qualifications:
  • 2-year IT degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience providing technical support in a Help Desk or Network support environment
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
  • Experience with incident-based ticketing systems
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Recent experience supporting users remotely, over the phone and in person
  • Proficiency in Windows server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2019.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Intune, AVD and Active Directory administration management.
  • Knowledge of security concepts and tools.
  • Familiarity with desktop and server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex desktop and Intune issues.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential problems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
  • Attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in desktop and Intune management.
  • Desire to take advantage of training and learning opportunities
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent, self-starting attitude
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent a plus
  • CompTIA Network+ or CCNA a plus
  • Hands on experience with server, network and backup operations, preferred
