Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to take charge of the Academic Family Medicine program and oversee the 444 Faculty Program. This role involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient care responsibilities, along with administrative and academic oversight. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of excellence in patient care, teaching, and research while mentoring faculty members and medical trainees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Academic Family Medicine department.
- Oversee faculty and medical trainees in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Develop and implement innovative medical education and training programs.
- Maintain clinical excellence by providing direct patient care.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to align academic and clinical goals.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor faculty members and support their professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and patient-focused culture.
Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree with board certification in Family Medicine.
- Proven leadership experience in an academic or clinical setting.
- Active medical license in Alabama or willingness to obtain one (licensing assistance provided).
- H1B visa sponsorship available.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to advancing medical education and patient care.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Flexible scheduling: ideal 7 on, 7 off, but open to a minimum of 10 shifts per month.
- Competitive salary packages exceeding market rates, negotiable based on experience.
- Attractive sign-on bonuses and comprehensive relocation assistance.
