Watertown Municipal Utilities has a full-time opening for a Utility System Engineer.

This position is responsible for designing water and natural gas infrastructure to comply with codes to meet current and future capacity needs, estimating costs of projects, managing projects, personnel, and outside stakeholders while coordinating activities with internal departments and outside entities.

This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, regulatory compliance, and project management.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in natural gas and/or water engineering preferred.

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits package, including SDRS pension, health, dental, vision and life insurance, 457 plan, paid sick leave and vacation.
