Job Description Job Description Fieldstone at Chester Springs – the area's newest senior living community that opened September is seeking compassionate individuals who are passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food that meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards of the community. Prepares all foods to meet quantity and deadline requirements.

General day to day responsibilities will include…

• Preparing food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner.

• Determining food and supplies needed and coordinating meal production with serving hours.

• Monitoring all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are always upheld.

• Ensuring the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes. Tastes and prepares food to determine quality.

• Maintaining or exceeding standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.

• Practicing all safety and loss prevention procedures.

• Overseeing food storage, checking labels and dates.

• Completing cleaning duties.

• Following all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling.

• Assisting with proper documentation of temperature logs and cleaning schedules.

• Maintaining food safety equipment records and food safety temperature records.

• Other duties as assigned.
The right candidate should be a professional who will have the ability to handle multiple priorities and respond promptly to residents' needs. This position requires a willingness to make decisions while exhibiting sound judgement.

While we support continued learning and enrichment, and celebrate a culture that encourages learning new skills, there are base level requirements for this position that include but are not limited to:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets.

• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.

• Food Services Sanitation Certificate.
