**Job Title:** Cath Lab Technician

**Job Specialty:** Radiology / Cardiology

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)

**Guaranteed Hours:** N/A

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years required, including 1 year in cardiac cath lab. First-timers accepted with significant cath lab experience.

**License:** Active IL State License required

**Certifications:** ACLS, ARRT, BLS

**Must-Have:** Cerner experience required

**Job Description:**

- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Required experience in ASD Closures, Cardiac Stent Placement, and Diagnostic Catheterizations for adults.
- Conduct hemodynamic monitoring, IABP Placement/Removal, and Impella insertion.
- Execute left and right heart catheterizations and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI).
- Perform procedures including PTCA, Permanent Pacemaker Insertion (PPI), PA line insertion.
- Experience with Rotablader atherectomy, temporary pacemaker, and ventricular assist device insertion.
- Utilize and maintain PACS and related equipment, ensuring inventory and supplies are stocked.
- Conduct electrophysiology studies, including arrhythmia induction and left atrial appendage (LAA) closure.
- Perform vascular studies and procedures such as carotid stenting, central venous access, and endovascular interventions.
- Proficient in operating equipment like fluoroscopy, GE Innova IGS, and Siemens.
- Responsible for accurate monitoring, equipment setup, and EKG lead placement.
- Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and perform room circulation and scrub duties.
- Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and rapid response team usage.
- Required on-call duties: 1 night per week and every 4th weekend.
- Weekend call duty required every 4th weekend, open to block scheduling accommodation.
- Opportunity for floating within the facility as needed.
