Job DescriptionJob DescriptionVirtusa is currently seeking a Senior Azure Architect to be responsible for analysis of client application requirements, identify technical approaches, formulate system designs, recommend and lead the implementation of architectures that satisfy the client’s requirements. Architectures must ensure data integrity, performance, scalability and high-availability.  The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual capable of making significant contributions to the design, development and implementation of sophisticated cloud-based systems. This role has a visibility at our Client’s Management level, so he should be clear, comfortable and effective in communicating with client, all team members and all levels of the organizationMajor Duties and Responsibilities:Develop, lead and deliver medium to large-scale Azure cloud application development and transformation engagements, helping enterprise customers understand cloud considerations, develop cloud application strategies and helping refactor existing applications for Azure, as well as develop new Azure-based cloud-native applications on Azure PaaS, and SaaSWork hands on with Implementation of Cloud Migrations, and API ManagementDevelop and implement application modernization, refactoring, and migration approaches to transition applications workloads from On-Premises to AzureInteracting with Customer and delivery teams focused on solving mission-critical business and technology problems and provide solutions which center on the consumption of the Azure PlatformExecuting technical feasibility assessments, solution estimations and proposal development for moving identified workloads to the Azure PlatformDevelop and implement new cloud-native applications and solutions on AzureConduct application assessments and analysis for large cloud migrations targeted at moving high numbers of applications to Azure, identifying application requirements for Azure as well as potential refactoring that may be required for Azure functionalityTranslate business and feature requirements into technical architecture and specifications.Required Skills14+ years’ experience in Microsoft.NET Technologies  and should at least have 5 years architecture and design experience in .NET technologies (.NET Core, C#).Proficient in Azure Cloud Application Development, modernization, implementation, deployment and support of highly distributed applications leveraging .NET, C# and client technologies like JQuery, Angular/React.Azure API development and integration experience and familiarity with RESTful Micro services methodologies for integrating these into Azure cloud-based developmentKnowledge and experience with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)Experience in customer-facing roles leading technical architecture and application design discussions with clients to drive cloud deploymentOversight experience on transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teamsPresentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences at all levels of the organizationExpertise in modernizing traditional N-Tier applications to Azure and modernizing application code in AzureFamiliarity with cloud native application architecture patterns including containers, functional computing, batch processingUnderstanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trendsDemonstrated strong project delivery experience with regards to estimates, planning and deliverablesDemonstrated ability to understand a customer's needs and articulate technologies to business stakeholders. Includes developing current and future state assessments/designs that address business requirements and best practicesFlexibility to work within a rapidly evolving environmentDesired SkillsUnderstanding implementation of compliance and regulatory requirements into cloud architecture, Azure a plus;Experience with CDN and large scale distributed platforms deployed in cloud, Azure a plusProject experience in migrating On-Premise workloads to the cloud and/or implementing cloud-ready applicationsAmazon AWS Platform or Google Cloud experience a plusKnowledge of Azure DevOps(VSTS) Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) implementing optimized development processes is a plus
