**Job Title:** PET/CT Technologist

**Job Specialty:** PET/CT

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 10 Hour Days

**Guaranteed Hours:** 30 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 1-2 years of PET/PETCT imaging experience required

**License:** State license required as applicable

**Certifications:** Must be dual certified in Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography Technologist by NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT)

**Must-Have:** CPR certification, valid driver's license if applicable, ability to work at multiple locations, BLS

**Job Description:**

- Use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety.
- Interpret physician orders and select appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce high-quality PET/CT images.
- Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, and radiation safety regulations.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician evaluation.
- Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists to ensure accurate study interpretation.
- Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators to maintain a consistent standard of care.
- Troubleshoot scanners, peripheral equipment, and software issues to minimize downtime.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working in various environments, such as outpatient centers, mobile coaches, or hospital-based facilities.
- Local travel may be required.
