- Knowledge in cleaning/sterilization/disinfection of equipment and instrumentation used in the clinical operating room setting
- Desire to work within an Operating Room setting
- Approved pharmacology course or previous medication experience and successful achievement in medication exam

**Job Description:**

- Perform routine and delegated duties as per the standards and policies of the hospital and department under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Assist in nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient.
- Perform technical duties related to scrub personnel, ensuring efficient and precise reactions to all situations.
- Assist with departmental work as assigned.
- Facilitate a sterile surgical environment and ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
- Precept new staff as needed.
- Comply with continuing education requirements of 15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per year.
- Must be able to arrive within 1/2 hour of receiving a call-in.
