**Certifications:** BLS (AHA) Required
**Must-Have:** Associate Degree, Siemens Experience, Non-local candidates (must live more than 50 miles from the facility)

**Job Description:**

- Perform magnetic resonance imaging on patients using highly technical equipment and administer contrast materials as required.
- Prepare the scan room and patient for examination.
- Draw up IV contrast if needed; administer oral contrast if indicated.
- Perform warm-up procedures on equipment; enter patient data and appropriate scan parameters.
- Review patient data to ensure the proper exam; review previous exams.
- Interview and screen patients for contraindications prior to the MRI study; explain the procedure and answer patient questions.
- Transport patients into the exam room and assist them in positioning appropriately for the exam.
- Determine if patients are allergic to any materials; inject appropriate IV contrast.
- Conduct scans with attention to appropriate positioning; be alert for the need for additional or thinner slices/images.
- Utilize correct protocols, coils, restraints, and other materials when scanning.
- Assure proper marking with regard to the orientation of the patient; enter images with a keypad, paying attention to the order of images.
- Prepare records for the radiologist and ensure that all clinical information is complete; ensure that exam images are in the correct order; provide additional information as required.
- Be available for one weekend per month.
