Full-Time | Clinical LeadershipBe the clinical leader the team can count on.
GreenView Assisted Living is looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing who knows great resident care requires more than answering problems as they come up.
It takes strong clinical judgment. Clear expectations. Accurate documentation. Capable caregivers. Consistent follow-through.
As our Assistant Director of Nursing, you’ll work alongside the Director of Nursing to help lead the day-to-day clinical operation of the community.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a nurse who wants to know the residents, develop the team, solve problems, and help build a clinical operation that performs consistently.
You’ll probably love this role if you like to:Know what is happening with your residents, not simply what is written in the chart
Coach caregivers and medication staff to become stronger at what they do
Catch clinical or operational gaps before they become bigger problems
Keep assessments, service plans, and documentation accurate
Build strong relationships with residents and families
Work directly with physicians, pharmacies, hospice, and other providers
Lead from the floor instead of from behind a desk
Step in, make decisions, and help the team execute when things get busy
Be trusted with real responsibility and clinical judgment
See a problem through until it is actually resolved
You’ll partner closely with the Director of Nursing to help oversee resident care and the Wellness team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting day-to-day leadership of the Wellness department
Providing clinical oversight when the Director of Nursing is unavailable
Completing resident assessments and evaluating changing care needs
Maintaining accurate resident records, service plans, and clinical documentation
Monitoring physical, mental, and emotional changes in residents
Helping ensure resident care meets community standards and regulatory requirements
Participating in admissions and meeting with residents and families
Coordinating with physicians, pharmacies, hospice, behavioral health providers, and other clinical partners
Helping maintain medication-management and documentation standards
Responding to resident-care concerns and community emergencies
Participating in clinical surveys and regulatory readiness
Supporting hiring, onboarding, and development of Wellness employees
Training and coaching caregivers and medication staff
Helping build dementia-specific training and staff capability
Supporting employee accountability and corrective action when appropriate
Participating in the leadership on-call rotation
Stepping into direct resident-care responsibilities when needed
A great Assistant Director of Nursing does not simply fix every problem personally.
You help build a team capable of delivering excellent care consistently.
You’ll coach employees on resident care, documentation, communication, dementia care, medication practices, and community expectations.
You’ll recognize strong performance, address gaps directly, and help employees understand not only what the standard is, but why it matters.
Clinical Leadership That Stays Close to the ResidentsThis is not a desk-only nursing position.
You’ll spend time with residents, families, and employees.
You’ll know when a resident’s condition changes.
You’ll know when documentation does not match what is happening on the floor.
You’ll know where the team needs more training.
And when something needs attention, you’ll help make sure it gets handled.
