Amazon's Software Builder Experience (ASBX) team empowers our software builders to focus on innovation for our customers. We remove toil, build intuitive tools, and champion the overall software builder experience across the company.
As part of the Builder Tools team, you will drive automation initiatives that leverage Generative AI and industry-standard tools. This will help accelerate the developer experience and lower software maintenance costs for Amazon builders.

Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and build full-stack solutions. Your solutions will enable delivery of innovative experiences and experiences.
- Use your problem-solving skills, collaborating with creative and technical teams, thinking-big and inventing and simplifying to solve challenges.
- Deliver novel customer experiences by developing solutions which include innovative UX strategies, AWS services and large scale back-end services.

- Provide guidance to and mentor other SDEs in the team.
- Be responsible for high quality bar, ensuring quality design reviews and robust engineering practices for automated testing, code coverage and full CI/CD pipelines
About the team
The Amazon Software Builder Experience (ASBX) organization has a mission of creating the world’s best builder experience across tens of thousands of software engineers, and all Amazon businesses (e.g., AWS, Amazon Stores, etc.). Our Builder Tools team in ASBX owns the software development tools Amazon software teams use to develop, release, and manage their software. This role is for you if you’re passionate about software development, development tools, and having world-wide impact across all of Amazon In addition to delivering results, we also appreciate establishing a work-life-balance, having fun with our co-workers, and supporting an inclusive and collaborative team environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
