Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe primary responsibility of this position is to provide phone support and assist with troubleshooting, repairing, and testing equipment for all customer sites. This includes validating effectiveness and performing quality control checks. Additionally, the role involves preparing and reconditioning equipment for shipment. There will also be travel to customer locations to install equipment, provide training, diagnose issues, and offer necessary servicesEssential Functions and Duties: The responsibilities listed below are essential to the role; additional duties may be assigned to meet business needs:Install, train, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all company diagnostic equipment, both on-site and off-site.Provide high-quality phone support by responding to customer inquiries, delivering technical assistance, and training customers on operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.Ensure timely and effective repairs, along with comprehensive training for operators, to guarantee optimal system performance and high customer satisfaction.Demonstrate self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and teamwork abilities while being capable of working with minimal supervision.Develop new test systems and provide recommendations on technical procedures. Evaluate new equipment and assist in creating and writing test procedures, standard operating protocols, and training materials.Be prepared for national and international travel, which may require up to 50% of your time visiting customer or manufacturer sites.Be available for occasional off-hours work, including scheduled on-call hours during early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.Additional Responsibilities: Assist with special projects and perform other engineering-related duties as requested.Maintain a clean work area and maintain standard office equipment in good condition.Help gather, record, and maintain engineering-specific information, and provide feedback on instrument issues to Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service departments.Qualifications/Requirements:A bachelor's degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Electrical, or Mechanical). Strong knowledge of instrument systems technology, including mechanical, electrical, chemical, and software components. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with customers and colleagues. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Capacity to think and act logically and methodically.Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled in using computer-based tools for reporting, email, and general communication.Ability to resolve complex mechanical, electromechanical, and system issues using technical manuals, publications, and engineering support. Willingness to travel as needed.
