Speech Language Pathologist
Covering Northeast Philadelphia and Montgomery County
Time Type: 8:00am-4:30pm (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Job Summary
The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. This role involves creating individualized treatment plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and empowering patients to achieve their communication and functional goals.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Diagnosis:
Conduct thorough evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
Use standardized tests, observational methods, and patient interviews to diagnose communication disorders.
Treatment Planning:
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.
Continuously monitor and adjust plans based on patient progress and outcomes.
Therapy Implementation:
Provide individual or group therapy sessions for patients with speech and language impairments, fluency issues, voice disorders, or swallowing difficulties.
Use evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to enhance therapy outcomes.
Education & Counseling:
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and strategies for effective communication.
Provide guidance and support to help families reinforce progress at home.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and educators, to deliver holistic care.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review patient progress and develop integrated care plans .
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality requirements .
Qualifications
Education:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Licensure/Certification:
Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred .
Experience:
Experience in clinical or educational settings preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in evaluating and treating a wide range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and team members.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop effective treatment strategies.
Empathy and patience to support patients throughout their therapeutic journey.
Familiarity with therapy tools, assistive devices, and electronic health record (EHR) systems..
