What the Project Accountant will do:
As a Project Accountant, you'll be a vital part of the team, ensuring financial precision across many projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking to maximize profitability.
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports to keep stakeholders informed.
- Processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and monitoring project expenses.
- Collaborating with project managers and teams to ensure seamless communication and compliance with financial standards.
- Assisting in contract reviews and ensuring adherence to contractual requirements.
- Identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications for the Project Accountant
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting software and systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and a knack for numbers.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with a drive to solve problems and innovate.
