**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC

**Must-Have:**
- Minimum of 2 years recent ER/Trauma Level 1 experience within the past 6 months

**Job Description:**
- Candidates must be flexible to work all listed shifts, as start times vary.
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving an offer through RELIAS, with a maximum of two attempts.
- Successful completion of Sim Lab on the first day of orientation is required.
- COVID vaccination is required or an appropriate declination form with medical documentation.
- Unit has 60 beds, with 14 designated as fast track; includes bedside triage.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are approximately 1:3-4.
- Support staff includes a charge nurse, unit secretary, paramedics, and CNAs; paramedics assist with IVs, IV fluids, discharges, and tech duties.
- Requires a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period and work during 2 of 3 major holidays in the season.
- Standard scrub color is navy.
- Uses GE Lifepacks monitors, and various vents including Puritan Bennett 840, Dreager, Vision Bipap, and V60s.
- 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services available with an ER pharmacist available on weekdays.
- Includes floating between two ER locations, approximately 7 miles or 15 minutes apart, including possible mid-shift work.
- Initial orientation lasts 2-3 days on the floor.
- Common patient types include trauma, motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, blunt and piercing trauma, stroke, myocardial infarction, high-risk obstetrics, psychiatric holds, cardioversions, conscious sedation, with an 11% pediatric population.
- Facility is a certified chest pain and stroke center with 80,000 visits per year.
- Uses the Cerner charting system.
