**Shift:** 12-Hour Nights

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years

**License:** Must be willing to submit

**Certifications:** BLS

**Must-Have:**
- EPIC charting experience
- Comfortable with lines and chest tubes
- Solid experience as an RN, preferably with some trauma or high-acuity experience

**Job Description:**

- Participate in opening a new medical unit with orientation beginning in late November.
- Flexibility with Requests for Time Off and scheduling. Contractors will work half of all upcoming holidays.
- Manage a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, which may adjust for higher acuity patients.
- Handle basic titration drips, including heparin and potentially amiodarone.
- Work within units equipped with telemetry capabilities, with central monitoring stations for communication.
- Work closely with charge nurses, house supervisors, educators, and managers.
- Collaborate with nurse aides and utilize respiratory therapy equipment as needed.
- Complete unit-specific orientation including paperwork, logins, and familiarization with the unit.
- Required to float within skillset across all MedSurg units as needed.
- Dress code requires wearing professionally solid-colored scrubs.
- Participate in a flexible 12-hour shift schedule, with standard weekend requirements being every other weekend or two weekends per month.
- No call or standby requirements are expected.
- Utilize the Epic Systems EMR for charting.
