Job Title: Appeals Representative
TEMP TO HIRE
Pay: $16/hr-$17/hr - Depending on Experience
Location: Southwest Fort Worth, TX (Clearfork)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for accurately setting up appeals for processing within 24 hours of receipt from various systems and correspondence sources (fax/email/mail). Corresponds with appeal submitters when adequate contact information is not provided upon submission.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure documentation received is eligible for appeal
• Plan/organize appeals to be entered into the system by department protocol
• Enter appeal/claim information proficiently and accurately into appeals system
• Attach all appropriate documentation for appeal to the correct case and folder location(s)
• Communicate any special handling of each appeal appropriately
• Maintains production standards, production requirements, and error rates
• Provide support for other co-workers
• Complies / maintains HIPAA in all communications and setup functions
• Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have medical experience

Appeals experience highly preferred

High school diploma or equivalent

1 minute typing with 40 words per minute

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, mainly Outlook, Excel, WORD

Highly detail oriented with a high rate of accuracy

Ability to perform paperless entry with 3 monitors
-
Ability to independently use problem solving logics
-
Exceptional organizational, planning and time management skills

The ability to work independently in a fast paced/production environment

Effectively communicate with others
