BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification
**Must-Have:**
- Ability to work through the duration of the assignment until completion
- Commitment to work holidays as required, with assurance of one holiday off
**Job Description:**
- Apply nursing theory, technical, and communication skills to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in the Emergency Department.
- Assess patient needs, prioritize urgent or emergent care, and collaboratively provide direct care.
- Utilize various invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions for managing life-threatening and routine emergency situations.
- Employ principles of relationship-based care to alleviate anxiety, provide information, and address pain/discomfort and safety.
- Assess physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients of all age groups and their families.
- Conduct primary and secondary patient assessments and reassess to identify response to treatment and changes in condition.
- Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnostic procedures, treatments, and post-emergency care, adapting teaching to individual learning styles.
- Prioritize patient and family as the central focus of all care and services, maintaining awareness of the patient's condition throughout the ER visit.
- Maintain patient communication and update boards throughout the ED stay, ensuring transparency and continuous information sharing.
