**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of one year in Nuclear Medicine

**License:** State license/registration required

**Certifications:** ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine, CPR certification

**Must-Have:**
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program

**Job Description:**

- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals.
- Conduct high-quality testing on patients, utilizing special training in the safe use of radioactive materials and sophisticated imaging equipment.
- Deliver quality healthcare without age limitations.
- Review provider's orders and consult with the Radiologist as necessary.
- Complete departmental processes for resulting and documentation of exams.
- Demonstrate a complete working knowledge of all equipment in the Nuclear Medicine department.
- Prepare, calibrate, document accurately, and administer radiopharmaceuticals via injection, ingestion, and inhalation.
- Perform SPECT imaging.
- Maintain a daily activities log.
- Ensure appropriate storage and ordering of supplies for the Nuclear Medicine area, monitoring and reporting any shortages.
- Conduct visual preventive safety inspections and daily quality assurance tests on all equipment, identifying any problems and communicating them to the immediate supervisor.
- Evaluate recorded images for technical quality and demonstrate anatomy through proper positioning.
- Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards.
- Effectively operate radiation detection equipment.
