**Experience:** Minimum 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist

**License:** Radiologic Technology Accredited Program Certification

**Certifications:** ARRT Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS)

**Must-Have:**
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with physicians, patients, visitors, and staff
- Ability to function independently and under pressure while maintaining a team-oriented approach
- Strong customer service orientation
- Capability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with multitasking abilities
- Professional interaction with a variety of customers
- Competency in Diagnostic Radiology, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection
- Understanding of anatomy and pathology related to procedures

**Job Description:**

- **Patient Care:**
- Obtain complete clinical history and assess for contraindicating conditions.
- Adhere to established procedures for administering contrast media, ensuring patient safety.
- Ensure proper patient identification and use of markers.
- Review images for clinical acceptability and release patients accordingly.
- Respond to emergencies, maintaining life support equipment readiness.
- Assist other technologists across modalities as needed.
- Verify patient identifiers and clinical order before procedures.
- Ensure patient privacy and comfort.
- Demonstrate procedural competence based on patient age.
- Organize work schedules and priorities.
- Use critical thinking and seek clarification for ambiguous orders.
- Understand and document pre-and-post procedural care.
- Prepare patients for procedures following sterile techniques.

- **Equipment Management:**
- Adjust techniques for minimal ionizing radiation exposure.
- Report equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain and disinfect equipment according to infection control policies.

- **Education and Communication:**
- Clearly explain procedures to patients to minimize anxiety.
- Address patients' questions and notify physicians as necessary.
- Participate in training departmental employees.
- Provide preparatory instructions and explanations for procedures.

- **Quality Control:**
- Produce high-quality images with proper technique and positioning.
- Ensure equipment operation and calibration.
- Send studies to PACS and manage image files as needed.

- **Operations:**
- Restock supplies, maintain cleanliness, and ensure service continuity.
- Assist patients with positioning and transport as needed.
- Perform clerical duties to support departmental operations.
- Maintain productivity and adhere to standards set by regulatory agencies.
- Take call duties as necessary.

- **Other Duties:**
- Comply with all organizational policies, standards, and code of conduct.
