**Shift:** 12-Hour Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, Rotating weekends and holidays or two weekends a month, Self-scheduling offered
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per Week
**Experience:** Minimum 1 Year
**License:** Required to Submit
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS
**Must-Have:**
- Experience with Med-Surg, Telemetry, and Critical Drips
- Ability to titrate drips such as Nitro (chest pain indication only), Amiodarone, Lasix, Heparin, Dopamine (low dose renal perfusion only)
- Experience with cardiopulmonary diagnosis (CHF/Chest pain/Post Cardiac Cath patients)
- Adult and geriatric patient care experience
**Job Description:**
- Work in a 32-bed telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
- Collaborate with 24/7 monitor techs and charge nurses responsible for reading strips; RNs are expected to review strips each shift
- Potential for taking on Charge Nurse role; opportunities for cross-training available
- Support from nurse aids with varying ratios depending on shift (1 to 10 for 7A to 7P, 1 to 15 for 7P to 7A)
- Utilize equipment including IV pumps, sequential compression devices, pulse oximeters, specialty beds, CPAP, BIPAP, oxygen, and telemetry
- Flexible shift scheduling with director/floor manager handling schedule but block scheduling permitted
- Weekend and holiday work requirements involve set rotations and preference considerations
- Floating within various Med-Surg units or the Emergency Department as needed; precedence given to float pool
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs for RN/LPN, solid dark grey/pewter for Techs; solid color fleece zip-ups or matching undershirts allowed in specific colors
- Undergo department-specific orientation including hospital induction, nursing orientation, computer training, and two 12-hour shifts with a preceptor
- Charting system: MEDITECH - 6.1
