North State Environmental, a leader in the stream and wetland restoration industry, is searching for Excavator Operators to join their team. Home office is located within Winston-Salem, NC.
If you have 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, they want to hear from you GPS and/or Caterpillar controls experience is a plus

  • Some Travel Required - Most projects are within the Southeast US but can be regional. If out of town travel occurs, the company provides transportation, housing and per diem, so you are taken care of When jobs are local, you could be home most nights and weekends.
  • Rewarding work -Everyday riverbanks are eroding to the point of instability and adding sediment to our waterways and estuaries. The instability and erosion of streams and rivers causes loss of riparian vegetation such as trees and shrubs. These trees and shrubs maintain stability for stream banks and provide a home for birds and wildlife while also serving as a filter from upland runoff. The owners of North State foresaw how much this affected the safety of families, the environment, and our communities and wanted to help solve these problems.

Essential Functions
  • Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in Pipe Installation, General Grading, & Site preparation.
  • Excavators w/ Hydraulic Thumbs
  • Bulldozer
  • Wheel Loaders
  • Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Project Manager, Safety Director, or Human Resources Manager as needed.
  • Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in equipment training.
  • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor, clean equipment.
