Locum Tenens Opportunity: Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine Near Broadway, NC We are currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Emergency Medicine for a locum tenens assignment near Broadway, NC. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled PA looking to provide critical care in a fast-paced emergency department. The role requires someone who can work independently, manage complex cases, and provide high-quality care to patients in need. Position Overview: Specialty: Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine Location: Near Broadway, NC Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: Ongoing Position Type: Locum Tenens Shift Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only Key Responsibilities: Emergency Room Coverage: Provide solo coverage in a 22-bed emergency department. Manage patient care during 12-hour shifts, ensuring timely and effective treatment. Collaborate with one physician and two mid-level providers to deliver comprehensive care. Patient Care: Treat a wide range of emergency conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening situations. Work with an open ICU setup, handling admissions as required. Utilize Meditech 6.1 EMR system for all documentation and patient records. Certification and Licensing: Ensure you are NC Medicaid/Medicare credentialed and enrolled in PECOS. Maintain an active DEA license with a North Carolina address. Practice Details: EMR System: Meditech 6.1 Support Staff: One physician with two mid-level providers for split coverage. Certification Requirements: ABLS: Required ACLS: Required ATLS: Required BLS: Required PALS: Required Licensing Requirements: Must be licensed to practice in North Carolina. NC Medicaid/Medicare credentialing and PECOS enrollment are mandatory. Privileges and Credentialing: Temporary privileges are available for those with a clean background. Credentialing is expected to be completed within two weeks, allowing for a quick start. Why This Opportunity?
