**Job Title:** Registered Radiologic Technologist

**Shift:** Sun - Thurs evenings + Weekend and call rotation

**Guaranteed Hours:**

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years

**License:** New Hampshire Imaging License

**Certifications:** ARRT(R) and (CT) or (M), Valid BLS Certification

**Must-Have:**
- X-Ray and CT experience required
- ARRT CT certification preferred
- Athena and Cerner experience (preferred)
- Live within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call (preferred, not required)
- Excellent customer service and patient care skills
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, compassionate, empathetic, and congenial
- Ability to work independently
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills

**Job Description:**
- Greet patients, explain procedures, answer questions, and assist patients to changing rooms as necessary
- Notify nurses for ED/med surg patients about procedures and ensure patients are unhooked from monitoring equipment
- Prepare exam rooms, ensure equipment is clean and functioning, and all supplies are readily available
- Prepare patients for exams, ensuring they are changed appropriately and remove items causing artifacts
- Utilize ALARA principles; perform diagnostic radiology exams; shield patients when possible
- Produce diagnostic images; optimize image quality with appropriate technique selection
- Close out exams and send images for interpretation
- Monitor and stock radiology supplies; check for expired items and perform necessary QC
- Understand equipment maintenance requirements; follow shutdown, warm-up, and QC schedules
- Perform basic office duties, including phone management, scheduling, obtaining protocols and prior authorizations
- Manage record keeping for sending images and scanning documents into PACS and EMR
- Take calls as required, being available and reachable during on-call hours
- Within 30-45 minutes proximity to the hospital when on-call
- Work environment is supportive, positive, with variety in day-to-day tasks
- Support and assist team members with patient transport, closing exams, making phone calls
