Job Description

We are seeking an experienced forklift driver for a 1st shift position from 8 am to 5 pm. The role involves operating a sit-down forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and lifting up to 100 pounds with the assistance of another person.

Responsibilities
  • Operate sit-down forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Handle and transport materials safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to lift heavy items (up to 100 pounds).
Essential Skills
  • 1 year of sit-down forklift experience.
  • Proficiency in shipping and receiving.
  • Material handling skills.
  • Experience with loading and unloading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety.

Work Environment

The work environment involves a warehouse setting where you will operate a sit-down forklift. The role requires physical activity, including lifting up to 100 pounds with another person. The dress code is casual but safe, adhering to warehouse safety standards. The position is a 1st shift role from 8 am to 5 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
