Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to fill a contract job with our school district You will work with elementary, middle, and high school students with diverse learning needs and disabilities. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate educator who can create individualized learning plans, implement effective teaching strategies, and collaborate with other staff members and families to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess students progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of students progress and other required documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Experience working with students with a background in behavior needs
  • NC Teaching Certification and SPED certification
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
