Job Description

We are seeking six dedicated maintenance technicians to join our team, with two positions available on each shift. Maintenance technicians will be responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance tasks on various bakery equipment, including ovens, conveyors, packaging equipment, and icing machines. Shifts available are: 1st (7AM-3:30PM), 2nd (3PM-11:30PM), and 3rd (11PM-7:30AM).

Responsibilities
  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on ovens, conveyors, packaging equipment, and icing machines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of approximately 25 technicians, ranging from maintenance technicians to automation technicians.
  • Adhere to a rotating schedule, working 6 days per week with varying days off.
Essential Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic.
  • Experience with 480v electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in conveyor maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in food manufacturing and working in high-temperature environments is a plus.
  • Ammonia and steam boiler experience is highly desirable.
  • Open to candidates with backgrounds in farm work or aircraft maintenance.

Work Environment

Our baking facility produces danishes and cinnamon rolls, with temperatures in the summer being approximately 15 degrees hotter due to the presence of ovens. Technicians will be required to work 6 days a week, with one rotating day off. Shifts for Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Engineers (METs) are available on the 3rd shift from 11PM to 7:30AM, and weekend work will be required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00
