Barista - Food Service Worker

A large hospital in Auburn is looking to hire a Barista to support their fast-paced retail cafeteria.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities vary - primarily responsible for supporting the retail cafeteria specifically - this could include cashiering , acting as a barista, serving, ect
  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffee and tea drinks, in accordance with recipes and customer preferences.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and recommending menu items.
  • Operate, maintain, and clean coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and blenders.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Food service experience preferred
  • Barista or Retail Food Experience (1+ year preferred)
  • Current State of Washington Food Handlers card (or obtain within 7 days of hire)

  • Reliable

Schedule/Shift:

  • Mon-Friday 12 PM - 5 PM w/ a weekend day (7 PM - 2 PM) - Barista

Pay:

$16-20 per hour depending on experience

Contract Length:

520 hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.
