Job Description

The Automated KIT Production department builds kits for clinical trials research, sample collection, COVID testing, and other human sample collection. Employees will be trained across four stations, each with unique tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Train and work in the 'Kit Cell' for the first 2-3 weeks, standing for 12-hour shifts.
  • Pick items from bins as directed by a computer and pack them into a box.
  • Carefully label and place completed boxes onto a rolling conveyor for packing.
  • Work in 'Popular Pick', a standing job with a rotating wall of bins that spin to present the correct bin.
  • Sit near the labeling line packing instruction manuals or in a cubicle-like chair building small batch custom orders by hand.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Cross-train on 5-6 jobs across the automation department over time.

  • Experience in healthcare assembly, production, packaging, and inspection
  • Familiarity with warehouse environments, inventory stock, and RF scan guns
  • General labor and assembly line experience

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, organized, and set up like a small production facility with conveyors and temperature control maintained at 70 degrees or below. Employees will work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, with breaks and lunches included. The noise level is constant, similar to a giant vacuum hum, and long pants and closed-toed shoes are required. Headphones are allowed in the pick cells, but no phones, food, or drinks (except sealable drinks) are allowed. The facility includes a hot food cafeteria for the day shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Shift and Pay

6pm-6a 2/2/3 - 2/2/3 rotating (2 PAID BREAKS OF 20 MINS + 1 PAID LUNCH OF 30 MINS). The weekly hours work out to 42/42/42/42, so they'll get 2 hours of built in OT every week
