Full-Time Special Education Teacher (Self-Contained Classroom)
Location: Ashville, Alabama

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our elementary school team in Ashville, AL. This full-time position will involve teaching a self-contained classroom with 11-12 students in grades K-3. The ideal candidate must be comfortable in a self-contained setting and passionate about supporting students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Adapt the curriculum to meet students' academic, social, and behavioral needs.
  • Provide a structured and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with staff and communicate regularly with parents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education.
  • Valid Alabama teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience in a self-contained classroom preferred.

Compensation:

  • Pay begins at $35 per hour for qualified candidates.
