Job Description

As a Fabricator Foreman, you will direct fabrication and production on assigned projects, ensuring the smooth operation of shop procedures and company policies. You will lead shop personnel, manage productivity, and coordinate with the Superintendent to address any shortfalls. Reviewing all job drawings to understand shop assignments and projects is crucial. You will partner with the Superintendent to resolve issues impacting production, quality, or safety. Additionally, you will coach and develop shop personnel, identifying and providing necessary training.

Responsibilities
  • Direct fabrication and production on assigned projects following Superintendent directives.
  • Lead and manage shop personnel.
  • Address productivity and shortfalls with the Superintendent.
  • Review job drawings to understand shop assignments and projects.
  • Ensure employees follow all shop procedures and company policies.
  • Partner with the Superintendent to resolve issues affecting production, quality, or safety.
  • Coach and develop shop personnel, determining and providing necessary training.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and cultists.
  • Active participation in safety meetings.
  • Background in supervision, fabrication, and production planning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fabrication supervisory role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a fabricator, fabricator foreman, or fabricator lead.

Work Environment

The work environment is an industrial fabrication shop that can be hot, dirty, and dusty. The facility has 2-5 open fans and is open-air to help with ventilation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gibsonton, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
